Let's Be Real

After reading this article on another blog, I couldn't help but take a little time off from my work to think. I started to wonder what people thought of when they came to visit my blog.
So, it's about to get real (no pun intended).
{ like seriously // here }

I  wanted to clarify something about my blog.
I want this blog to show the real representation of me. I do not buy my followers nor do I photoshop my pictures. I'm the type of person who yes, wants to show the best possible version of myself, but at the same time, I want it to be the real me while doing so.

And with that being said, I know how unlikely it is to drop nearly $400 on a skirt, which is why more often than not, I'll include similar items for a less expensive price. Not everyone can wear designer everything, which is another thing about this blog. I'm a firm believer that anyone can still be stylish and trendy while still maintaining a budget.
I'm loving these options here + here + here.

I love this bold color combo: orange + cobalt blue, as well as a two-tone lipstick look that I will probably try for an outfit post on my blog. Don't forget - you can shop the pics by clicking the items!
Side note: during these colder months, my leather jacket is a wardrobe staple. I wear it frequently. If you don't own a leather jacket, I highly suggest you invest in one now. It's a purchase you won't regret.

Here are just a few of my favorites:

  2. Such a great way to think about the blog world. As a new blogger myself I love seeing someone else who is wanting to stay real and show that not everyone is a mega-millionaire that can make their blog look amazing and pay for their audience. You approached this topic with such grace as well, thank you for sharing with the world!

  3. Great post - I could actually talk about this in my own blog as well. And, I agree on the subject of designer stuff. I don't own designer anything, except for some perfumes, and I'm actually proud of that. I don't mean to say I never would buy designer stuff, but I can assure the world I wouldn't let the material stuff define me if I bought fancier things. Thank you for posting this, the message here is great. ♥
