Ringing in the New Year

There's something so therapeutic about being near the beach.
For those keeping up with me on social media, I spent the past few days in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina with my family. Not only was it relaxing, but it allowed me to mentally prepare myself for the new year.

And now with a new mindset and a new perspective, I'm headed back to Chapel Hill today to celebrate New Year's Eve with friends, before packing my bags for another travel getaway.

P.S. If you remember in this post, I mentioned that I would be traveling with my good friend Natalie for a glamping travel collaboration. We will be headed for Asheville on Jan. 2nd, so be sure to follow along on Instagram and Snapchat (bygracelee) to see what we'll be doing!

I hope you all have a wonderful and safe Happy New Year!

See you in 2016.

VII O2M Oxygen Eye Mask Review + Video

As a full-time college student and blogger, it gets tough every now and then trying to manage it all. There are nights where I barely get any sleep and I don't pay as much attention to my face as I should. Finals week is always rough and I wish I had these eye masks for my previous semester, but I know that they'll come in handy for next year.

I've been wearing these oxygen eye masks for a few days now, and I love how rejuvenating it feels on my skin. If you're looking to get rid of bags under your eyes quickly, I recommend trying these eye masks. I wear them when I go to bed, but if you watch the video below, I explain it better!

You can get your own pads and save $5 on a box of three with the code: 7FNJ-URZXJC-YWWCCV

Dealing with Failures

I heard a very inspiring sermon on re-visiting the place of failures during church service yesterday, and it had me thinking the entire time of all the struggles I've encountered this past year. As we approach 2016, I've been constantly thinking about my past accomplishments, but there's one aspect that I've been overlooking: my failures.

It's easy to let your failures define you as a person.
Sometimes you feel like that's all you'll ever be, but that's only because that's all you're allowing yourself to believe. You're so much more than that. Dealing with your failures is realizing that you're choosing to overcome your mistakes and become a stronger person. It may have taken me quite some time to realize it, but remember that the struggle is always a part of the story. I believe that my struggles were placed in my life to teach me to be humble and trust God's timing.

If you remember this post, I mentioned how I believe we meet the wrong people in order to find the right ones. Maybe we have to allow ourselves to fail in order to succeed. To see what it is what we've been missing all along.

Just a little perspective from me to you on the last Monday of this year.
Thanks for reading!

P.S. I'm headed off on a little vacation getaway with my family for the next few days, so be sure to follow along on Instagram and snapchat (bygracelee)!

Good As Gold

I am well aware it's still not Christmas yet, but the anticipation for New Year's is unreal.
AKA the countdown is on.

I gravitate towards anything sparkly, black or gold for the holidays and this dress is literally all of the above. I like that it's fitted with a stretchy material. I'm wearing a size small, but I am also 5"2, so it fits me just right. I would recommend sizing up to a medium if you're tall!

I hope you all have a Merry Christmas!
Thanks for stopping by today!

P.S. I'm guest-blogging over on OCM's blog today. I'm sharing 5 Tips for the New Year, and would LOVE for you all to read it! It's one of my favorite posts I've written.

We're All Plaid Here

Christmas seems to be approaching at a rather slow pace this year.
Though, I do feel like the weather is to blame. As a girl who loves the cold, it's been kind of difficult acknowledging it's still December. Especially when I'm wearing shorts outdoors amidst the Christmas tree house decorations around my neighborhood.

As for the outfit, this look is one of my favorite ones yet to date. I mean, what better way to kick off the start of Christmas week than with a plaid matching set? I felt "extra holiday" showing up at a Christmas tree lot decked out in holiday plaid. HA.

Sidenote: the skirt is definitely smaller and shorter than I had expected, so be sure to size up!

Thanks for stopping by!
What are your Christmas plans?? I'd love to hear them!
