A (French) Toast to Halloween

Honestly, give me an excuse to wear navy blue velvet booties on Halloween and I'm sold.
I mentioned in this post that I'd be yet, another pun, for Halloween this year. So alas, I'm finally sharing my FRENCH TOAST costume that I'll be wearing tonight.

If you're a new reader, then I'll gladly rehash Halloween festivities here at UNC-Chapel Hill. Basically, the town of Chapel Hill closes down Franklin Street tonight and families, college students, and tons of people in the area and all over the state come to Franklin Street to celebrate. It's always crowded and quite an interesting spectacle. Especially the costume ideas that people come up with. Just picture it as one big major block party.

Even though I have classes on Tuesday, I'm still going to make the most of my senior year Halloween with my best friends / roommates. So here's one big (French) toast to my last Halloween on Franklin Street!
We're planning lots of fun things tonight, so be sure to follow along on Snapchat (bygracelee) or Instagram.

Hope everyone has a safe and fun Halloween!

P.S. I'd love to hear your costume choices this year in the comments below!

UNC Game Day Wear

I covered gameday looks on my blog over the years, but decided it was time for another just for old time's sake. Since it's my last year as an undergrad here at UNC-Chapel Hill, I've taken in the notion of "enjoy every home game while it lasts." Bittersweet.

I worked with Palm Avenue in Cameron Village (and Charleston!) last summer and they're one of my favorites stores to work with. Literally the sweetest gals I know. If you're in the area, I recommend checking them out. Be sure to let them know that you stopped by via my blog post! They would love that! :) Knowing how many college students visit Palm Avenue for gameday looks, I decided to put together a look that I would wear to the next tailgate. The clothes are all from Palm Avenue, including my personal favorite UNC baseball cap that I wear on the regular. Head to the bottom for all the links!

Thanks for stopping by!
Let me know if you guys still want more gameday tailgate looks! I love hearing post requests via emails or comments :)

Halloween Ready...

Because my past two Halloween costumes were pretty popular on Pinterest, I received an email from a reader the other day asking what I was going to be for Halloween this year.
And I got to thinking...
Or wait. I hadn't.
That is, until a week ago.

If you follow me on Snapchat (bygracelee), you probably know that I shot my Halloween outfit Sunday afternoon. And yep, you probably guessed the "punny" costume from watching the behind-the-scenes. When you scroll through this post, you'll know that I'm a sucker for puns. Clearly.

As a college student, I understand that fine line between wanting the best Halloween costume to show off but also staying "within your budget." Which is why I thought it would be a great idea to link up similar items to recreate my previous Halloween looks with budget-friendly items.
I went ahead and included the links to the posts and photos of my Halloween costumes. ALSO, if you're in need of a Halloween costume idea... you should give these a try!

Velvet Crush

If you couldn't tell by now, I've been on a velvet "kick" as of late. After carrying this velvet pre-loved Chanel Boy Flap at Trendlee, I was eyeing these velvet booties that are under $100 for quite a while. I finally made the purchase and now I can't stop wearing them. Help!

I even wore the velvet booties all throughout my girls roadtrip to Asheville, Boone, Blowing Rock, and Chimney Rock this past weekend for my Fall Break. There's more to come about that trip and possibly a travel diary video (fingers crossed), so be sure to look out for that soon!

Anyway, I wanted to tell you guys a little bit more about Trendlee
Trendlee carries almost every major designer from Louis Vuitton to Hermes to Gucci and Givenchy... and tons more. You can easily purchase the handbags or choose to rent them. Right now, I'm currently swooning over these genuine Chanel Boy Flap at Trendlee, and all the Givenchy Antigona on sale. These handbags are pre-owned, but still in good condition and all authentic! Trendlee is offering a 5% OFF discount code: GRACELEE - don't forget to use it at checkout!

Thanks for stopping by!
