Archer Hotel Austin Recap

I had the pleasure of staying at Archer Hotel in Austin, Texas last week.

For someone who had never been to Austin, I wasn't sure what to really expect. Well, except the killer heatwave. I knew that was coming. However, when I arrived at Archer Hotel, my mouth simply dropped. My valet thought he had done something wrong when I paused to look at the chandelier in the lobby. Ha ha. Even though these photos don't do it justice, the chandelier in the lobby with the grand staircase really set the tone for what to expect with my stay.

I also want to take the time to thank Archer Hotel for the warm and sincere hospitality. The staff and valet service were genuinely nice and helped me move my stuff in and out of the room. They also assisted me for places in the area to visit, which really helped. I would recommend staying at Archer Hotel if you are ever in Austin.

Below, I highlighted a few main sights in the hotel that I got to experience...

The lobby:
- There's a waiting area in the lobby underneath the chandelier with comfy couches and magazines to read while waiting.
- Not pictured: to the left of the waiting area is a table with a huge infused lemon and lime water dispenser for guests.
- The lobby includes direct access to the Second Bar + Kitchen restaurant.
- There's a bowl of chocolate mints by the front desk that I may or may not have snagged a few of...

Second floor:
- The grand staircase leads up to the second floor of the hotel.
- There are two neon signs on the walls that are Instagram-worthy. The other one is 'Que Paso.'
- There is also an aerial view of the Second Bar + Kitchen restaurant from the balcony.
- The second floor has lots of meeting rooms to set up conference calls, meetings, etc.
There is another entrance that leads to the pool patio that is reserved for guests only.
- The design in the pool is incredible and is shaped like a star.
- The pool patio includes an intimate cabana setting, as well as a huge-screen TV and a bar.

The room:
- We stayed in a double king-sized bed hotel room.
- I definitely utilized the frette robes and complimentary slippers (their signature touch).
- The bed was dangerous to the point where I had trouble waking up in the morning.
- The bed also includes a little night light, for those who want to read before bed.
- Karli and I ordered room service breakfast: I got egg whites, avocados with spinach and quinoa. Karli got the waffle, that came shaped as the state of Texas. It was the cutest thing.
- Lastly, the photo at the very bottom is a view from our hotel room, overlooking The Domain (a famous shopping area).
- Right across the street from our hotel room view is the Sprinkles Cupcake ATM machine. I knew I had to throw that one in there because how could anyone pass that up? ;)
