I'm Moving...

As an influencer, staying silent is actually one of the hardest things to do for me.
I love interaction with my followers - you guys - who make my passion worth it. I love creating content knowing that it'll inspire, influence, and motivate someone else who might just stumble upon it or need it in that moment.

So staying silent has been really tough for me.
Which. brings. me. to... this.

I cannot even tell you how many questions I've received about my plans after college graduation. What's next?
Did you get a job yet? Are you moving?
My response: I don't know, to my friends, family, classmates, professors, and blog readers.
I really didn't.

Flash forward to nearly four months of waiting and praying to God that he would bless me with not just a job, but the right job. And the right people to walk into my life. So even though I had no idea what I was doing next, I had all the time in the world to think.

I've had time to think and reflect on what it is I want. More importantly, what does God want for me?
I've learned to let go of the worries that have kept me from sleeping at night. I've also learned to trust Him, especially through this process and told myself daily that God doesn't take anything from you without the intention of blessing you with something better. Every no meant a better YES.

I'm not going to sugarcoat it.
There were many times when I felt like God was punishing me. I was at war with myself. However, through this, I felt like my connection got stronger and I learned to LET GO.
More importantly, I never stopped trusting Him.

I went through periods of anxiety, trying to visualize where I'd be in the next few months or so. I visited L.A. in June. I visited NYC in July. I wanted to experience them both, telling myself it was either one or the other. But visualizing isn't the same thing as being there.

And so, even though some bloggers have taken the leap of blogging full-time, I've realized that my heart is set on something else. Blogging has not only blessed me with opportunities and true friendships, but it has also landed me a job. A job that I may not have gotten right out of college, had it not been for my blog. I am so thankful for all of you and especially companies that reach out to me because I've watched myself and my brand grow. It's been quite the journey, and no, it's not over yet

But in the end, I've found where my heart lies...

and I'm going to follow it.

all... the way... to... NYC.
