Christian Dior Haute Couture Collection 2010

I'm in LOVE with Christian Dior Haute Couture fall's collection. Every outfit is just simply STUNNING. SO beautifully made...each and every one of them :)

Paris Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2010 Kicked off with Christian Dior Fall 2010 Haute Couture Collection by John Galliano. Show was all about bright colors, dreamy clothes, dramatic hairstyles and headgears, full skirts, cinched waists, floral-inspired fall 2010 couture collection and much more.
I'm loving the whole floral inspired feminine collection theme going on here. soo creative.
Even their headgear-like inverted cellophane bouquet wraps by Stephen Jones were stunning.

This collection had a lot of coats shaped like a huge inverted daffodil and a dress in black taffeta that was hand-painted with pansies,  jacket and skirt combinations like white felt over lilac organza, jade mohair with a swoop of portrait neckline over a petaled bubble of black organza, colored petal details delicately draped over ballooning skirts, cinched at the waist were gorgeous.
LOVED all the mesmerizing colors of the dresses.

Christian Dior Haute Couture Gowns were big, dreamy, beautiful, colorful and completely mesmerizing owing to cinched waists and layers and layers of detail and textures.

The tulip look :)
My favorite dress out of the whole collection. The mixture of colors is simply beautiful.

At the end, John Galliano, Dior’s designer said “I’m having a floral moment”.
HAHA. He did a fabulous job with this collection. Two thumbs up! :)

 One shoulder dresses are
truly trendy and chic. Adding ruffles to them make the dress pop in many ways. The ruffles can be floaty and livens up your look. If you try this trend, try to keep your neck bare of any jewelry so there isn't too much going on around your neckline.

Down: Hermès, Haider Ackermann, Paul & Joe and Marchesa.

Designers have been toying with the classic design of a one-shoulder dress by adding chic and playful elements like bright colors, bows, and flowers.

This beautiful Stella McCartney printed satin ruffle dress ($1,378.50) has gorgeous tumbling ruffles and a multicolored camouflage print. This fuchsia satin plissé one-shoulder dress works best with metallic accessories for that on-trend statement style.

Trend: Military Style

                                                    Trend: Military Style

Military Style.
When you think about military style you jackets, the whole military look..camoflauge.. Well, at first I wasn't the biggest fan of that kind of style but now, seeing that olive green colored jacket with gold buttons and other styles is something you could put to good use. The military look has a edgy but classic feel to it. It's definitely a major trend this year. I've seen a lot more of military styles in designer fall 2010 collections. "Military is undeniably the most massive of the fall/winter trends." Totally true. We see military-esque looks on women around the city. Fall is the season to play dress-up. So make a fashion statement with this trend.

Chambray Dresses

Chambray, Chambray, Chambray

As of right now, I am obsessed with chambray. Sure we all wear denim, but there's more than one way to make the 'denim' look your own. The best thing about them? They go with any color. Seriously. Besides, chambray skirts are dressier, classier, and all around more stylish. How to wear them? The options are endless, but here's a few ideas...

1. Pair your chambray skirt with a striped top (like Jessica Szohr)

2. Pair a floral dress with an open chambray button-down shirt (Miley Cyrus)

3. Like J. Crew, pair your chambray with a bold statement necklace. (Love this one) It screams, classic with an edgy twist :)

4. Pair a chambray shirt with a belt and a pair of wedges for a chic summer look.

5. Go for that classic chambray look.
-dark skinny jeans
-chambray loose-fitting shirt
- flats
and when it comes to accessories, LESS IS MORE.

6. A chambray dress comes in handy.
-wear it simple
-belt it
-wear a scarf

7. and of course, one of my favorites is to wear a chambray shirt with a statement blazer. Throw on a pair of oxfords for that menswear look.

Fashion Muse

When someone starts talking about fashion muses, Olivia Palermo comes to mind. Olivia Palermo is the actual 'Blair Waldorf' of the Upper East Side. Her fashion sense and style is soo irresistible. Her outfits are my inspiration. The NY socialite is known in the reality TV show 'The City' with Whitney Port.
