Florals and Fedoras

When I first laid eyes on this sequin collar necklace from Windsor Store, I knew that I just had to have it. Without even having it in my possession, I was already starting to make a list of all the dresses and tops I could pair this beauty with. I received it in the mail last week and ever since then, I have been dying to wear it with nearly everything. Adore it. Love it. If this counts as a review, then by all means, I highly recommend it. I also won these floral shorts from LuLus on Chictopia. It gives the whole outfit a summer-y feel with the florals and fedora look.

Weekend Snippets

 The past week, I got to experience my photos taken with an Olympus PEN Lite E-PL3 digital camera. Thanks to my cousin from South Korea that came to stay with my family for two weeks. Me of all people, I was intrigued by the spectacular and crisp detailing of every shot. I just wanted to share a few snippets of my weekend spent at Busch Gardens and Jamestown, Virginia for a little family vacation.
{Lunch outings with my brother}
 {Arm party + statement nails}
 {Bubble tea goodness}
 {It was stormy the day we went to Busch Gardens}
{We rode this 90 degree angled roller coaster in the rain. Thrills? More like...chills}
{There was free lunch roaming around the streets...}
 {I even found my twin there...}

 {I have my mother to thank for the amazing hairdo}

Neon Hitch

Old photoshoots with my lime sheer maxi.
Sometimes, when you need inspiration, looking back at some of your old photos help. A lot.

It's possible that I may be feeling a little uninspired lately. And what better way to hitch back onto the inspiration board than to make a stop along the color wheel? And I don't know what's more perfect. The fact that my blog post title is an actual singer or the fact that I have yet successfully accomplished another take on a double meaning.
Choo choo. Next stop: pastels.
Seen these Zara heels in a variety of colors lately on blogs. Wish I had a pair.
I could seriously purchase all of these nail polishes. Possibly my favorite type ever. Besides Essie. Which is like everyone's fav.
Which one of you bloggers want to lend me a pair of orange pants and possibly a pink top like so?
..for keeps?
If you can't settle for one color, wear them all.
How I see it.
If anything, I seem to be lacking in the color orange in my wardrobe. Maybe it's time to trade that fruit orange for a better indulging taste...
Where else can you find a color combination so perfect? It's killing me.
There is no such thing as 'too bright' in my book.
Neon tubes? Now this is a pool party I need to attend.
A neon collar. Dinner is served.

What do you do when you've hit rock bottom with inspiration?

Forecast: Cowdy with a Chance of Braid

 Not only was it Friday the 13th last Friday, but it was also Cow Appreciation Day. After putting my hair up in a milkmaid braid, I realized I was "celebrating" unintentionally. I have an unhealthy obsession with collars. I spent countless hours last week trying to find the perfect sequin collar online. Point proven. And I finally chose one, ordered it, and it should be on its way sometime this week. This rainy day consisted of a long Starbucks coffee date with a favorite gal of mine which I mentioned before in an earlier blog post. Or two. It seems, that I tend to dress up every time it rains. Therefore, it should rain more often. Maybe I should invest in a few more umbrellas for a shoot. How about it.

A little Friday {inspiration}

Something I like to call "seeing things from a different perspective". Follow me on instagram.
I'm pretty keen with finding inspiration through other fashion bloggers. Though models and fashion magazines are always another option, I am rather more lenient towards blogs because I like to imagine how other bloggers, like myself, gravitate towards their own wardrobe. Creativity is key. I'll tell you that.
Hapa Time is a blog that I started following not too long ago and I instantly fell in love with Jessica's wardrobe. From her gorgeous hair to her amazing sense of style in shoes, I'd say this is a blog you should truly follow.
Cobalt blue is one of my favorite colors. Finding a cut-out dress in that color would be a dream.
 Pairing a black top with a bright blue skirt surely makes a statement.
Note to self: try this combo.
You can do no wrong with a simple lace dress.
Brilliant pairing of the pink heels and the matching pink skinny belt. The little meticulous details like that truly astound me.
Adding a pop of pink to a classic black & white outfit.
Wearing a floral bralet paired with a pink high-waisted skirt. So Lilly Pulitzer.
A new twist on a denim jacket. Love it.
Try a simple LBD paired with a denim jacket. So effortlessly chic.
Invest in a mint dress. God knows I need want one.
Wear a chambray button-down belted over a LBD.

So where do you find your inspiration? If you have any blogs you want to share (or even yours), please include your link in the comments! I'd love to check them out!
