Cheers to Summer with H&B Provence

It goes without saying that no matter the season, New York City has a little something for everyone. One of the many reasons I love it here. There’s never a dull moment, and every season, I feel like i can never tackle everything I want to do on my NYC bucket list.
With too many activities to choose from, there is one thing I want to do more of this summer.

It’s been on my summer bucket list to host a picnic with friends in one of the many parks in NYC.
It’s been a challenge trying to coordinate and bring friends together for a weekend. Luckily, this past weekend, I invited a couple of friends to Long Island City to enjoy the sunshine accompanied by food and rosé

My good friend Erik and I threw together blankets, snacks, ice bags, and three bottles of Hecht & Bannier
One of the things I love about the Hecht & Banner Provence Rosé is the glass bottle comes with a twist-able glass seal. I've never seen anything like it before, and neither had my friends.
Its unique packaging came in handy when we wanted to seal the bottle and chill it in between sips.

Here's how I coordinated hosting a picnic:

STEP ONE: Reach out to your friends and ask if they'll be in town for the weekend you're planning it.
Try planning either one or two weeks in advance.

STEP TWO: Let them know the date, time, and an invite asking if they'd want to join you (with friends) for a picnic in ____ location. I try to pick a place that's accessible via subway or Uber, so no one has to make a super long commute.

STEP THREE: I even screenshot the location on a map or text them the full address of the location so they can coordinate whether they can make it or be there. It's all about PLANNING ahead for these types of situations.

STEP FOUR: Make sure you have enough rosé with you!
I invited about 10+ friends to Long Island City and had plenty of rosé to go around.
Hecht & Bannier has different size options to choose from here. The wine is fruity, elegant, and very refreshing.

STEP FIVE: I coordinate purchasing snacks day of the picnic a few hours before so they were fresh to eat. I also arrived there earlier than everyone to set up and scout out a location for everyone to meet me at.

Have you hosted a picnic before?
If yes, what are your key tips? I'd love to hear them!

Cheers to the *official* start of summer!

We paired our rosé with pita chips and guac, and fresh fruit.
The combo was actually delicious, for anyone wanting to host a picnic this summer.
