Number One Rule For Splurging On Quality Items

As a college student on a budget, I will tell you upfront the importance of shopping wisely. On my last shopping excursion, I made tons of purchases on basic necessities that I plan on wearing over and over again. I finally caved and bought these because I needed a pair of summer sneaks, and they are the best pair EVER. AND the price is unbeatable. I'm a firm believer in splurging on quality items, such as this top. 

While eye-shopping in Madewell the other week, this embroidered top instantly caught my eye. It was one of those I-don't-even-care-how-much-that-top-is-I-am-trying-it-on type of moments. Long story short: I made a list of every single reason why I shouldn't walk away with this top. Budget, more tops Grace, really?, etc. And then, I also made a list of why I should purchase this top and let's just say... you know what the answer is.

Why yes, I sure did do a mental pros and cons list in Madewell. I'm pretty sure the employees were giving me the weirdest looks as I stared at the ceiling for nearly half an hour while doing so. Ha!

But the key thing to note is that you should opt for QUALITY over QUANTITY.
If it's something you are going to utilize and really make use of the quality item, then I say go for it. Sometimes, it's okay to splurge a little here and there. I know I wanted a simple yet sophisticated top to wear for summer outings, and it's also in a darker chambray wash that is perfect to wear with any colored bottoms! BOOM.
